On Monday 26 March, nineteen delegates attended a day conference entitled ‘From 1662 to 2012: 350 Years of Nonconformist History’. The conference took place in the pleasant surroundings of Gladstone’s Library. The papers given will form some of the contributions to a forthcoming Companion to Nonconformity. Subjects covered included the history of Nonconformity in Wales and in England, Nonconformist business leaders, Mission, Church and State, and the process of selecting subjects for the various chapters, and there was opportunity for questions and discussion following all of the papers. A few people stayed overnight in the excellent facilities, with opportunities both for further discussion, and to use the library itself.
